Police search for man wanted in connection with Missoula rape cases
MISSOULA, Mont. -

A man known as Oscar, is wanted in connection with sexual assaults of two teenage girls last week. The alleged crimes happened under the Reserve Street Bridge.

Police released a picture of a man they want to talk to in connection with the crime. He is described as a transient and may go by the name of Oscar.

Police said the girls assaulted were 13 and 14 years old and were local runaways. Investigators said the teens had fallen into "association" with Oscar. They said the girls are now safe with guardians.

The Reserve Street Bridge is a hangout for transients.

On the streets, Oscar is also known as "Boxcar Alex." He's a "train hopper," said one man who saw him on the streets about a week and a half ago.

Oscar is described as 25 to 30 years old, with a reverse Mohawk haircut, a tattoo over his right eyelid that says "low life." He has a tattoo over his left eyelid with the letters ACAB.

He has a nose ring and a pierced lower lip. He could be wearing a jacket with spikes on the shoulders. He has a green backpack and could have a puppy with him.

Anyone with information as to the true identity of "Oscar" or his whereabouts, is urged to contact Crimestoppers at 721-4444 or Missoula police at 552-6300.
