POLSON, Mont. -

The following press release was sent out by the Polson Police Department:

On Sunday, November 3, 2013 at approximately 10:30 a.m. Polson Police responded to the 1000 block of 4th Street West for a report of a disturbance.  Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies and Flathead Tribal Police also responded.  When Officers arrived they found a 29 year old female victim laying outside of the apartment complex with severe injuries.  Officers were able to get the victim away from the scene and to the ambulance so she could be transported to the hospital for treatment.

Officers were informed that a firearm was involved in the assault so a perimeter was set up around the apartment where the suspects were believed to be.  Evacuations of the neighboring apartments were started.  Shortly thereafter officers were able to make contact with the suspects through a window and ordered them out of the apartment.  Two individuals were taken into custody at that time.

Michael James Gardipe Jr., 35 of Polson as arrested and charged with Assault with a Weapon.

Alisha McDanal, 34 of Polson was arrested and charged with Intimidation.

The investigation is on-going and several individuals are being sought for questioning.  If anyone has information concerning this incident please call Polson Detectives Office at 406-883-7277.
