Pre-release inmate's death not suspicious
An autopsy on a resident of a pre-release center in Helena who died in his room found no indications of suspicious circumstance.
Lewis and Clark County Coroner Mickey Nelson tells the Independent Record that 42-year-old Jason Wood's death appears to have been caused by a heart attack.
Wood died Thursday evening. Officials did the autopsy because no obvious reason for the death existed.
Wood in 2009 received a 5-year prison sentence after being convicted of theft and criminal mischief in Broadwater County.
