Property tax deadline brings long lines in Hamilton
HAMILTON, Mont. -

Crowds were heavy in the Ravalli County tax office. It was a deadline day to pay the second half of property taxes.

Long lines to the treasurer's office formed early. There was little letup for workers in the tax office.

One property owner said every year taxes go up. She said on a limited income you feel the crunch.

"You have to be careful about how you budget for things," said Jerry Sue Buckingham of Stevensville, "you just have to watch your pennies."
