BOZEMAN, Mont. -

Support Local Artists and Musicians or S.L.A.M. Festival kicked off in Bozeman, Saturday.

The two day event features strictly Montana artists and musicians.

And it's not just paintings and sculptures. You'll find a variety of hand-made crafts- from baskets to jewelry.

Cooks, brewers and dancers were also invited to show off their crafts.

We talked to one musician who tells us he's humbled and honored to play at the festival.

"There are gigs out there, people who want to hear your stuff and Bozeman's a great community to play music in and people are going to love to hear you no matter what you play," says musician Henry Hietala.

Slam runs through 7p Saturday and Sunday from 10a to 5p.
