Specialist Dylan Hodgson of Post Falls, Idaho, shows Bobcat pride during combat missions in Afghanistan. He hangs a Bobcat flag in his helicopter.
The flag was sent to Hodgson by his aunt and uncle, Gary and Ralene Wilson of Helena, who are Lifetime Members of the MSU Alumni Association. His family says Hodgson had considered pursuing an engineering degree at Montana State University prior to enlisting in the Army and, depending on whether or not he makes a career of the Army, is still considering the engineering degree.
He was high school classmates with Marcus Colbert who plays on the basketball team for the Bobcats.
The Wilsons say the idea for the picture came from Montana State University's support of U.S. troops during one of the home football games each year. The flag will be signed by Hodgson's crew, returned to Montana and displayed at the Miles City Connection tailgate at the Bobcats' first home football game.
Specialist Dylan Hodgson is a CH-47F Chinook Helicopter Crew Chief with Bravo Company, 2nd Battalion, 227th AVN. His family says they are extremely proud of his unselfish service to his country and fellow Americans and they anxiously await his return.
