Spring-like temperatures in store today

Record low temperature of 25 this morning in Kalispell. The old record of 27 was set back in 2003.
After a cold start, afternoon highs will warm into 60s with partly to mostly sunny skies.
A Pacific storm system will begin to impact the region late tonight and Friday. A few showers will develop around Missoula and Kalispell late tonight, spreading into the Butte and Bozeman Friday morning. Occasional showers Friday and Saturday. A showers will linger across northwest Montana Sunday. Weekend highs will drop back below normal, with 50s for much of the region.
Weather models indicate a nice warming trend next week, with partly to mostly sunny days by mid week. Highs will warm back to the 60s and possibly lower 70s in some areas.
There is a FLOOD WATCH for the East Gallatin River. Warming temperatures and melting snowpack will increase stream flows across the region. If you live in flood prone areas, this is the time of year that you need to have a plan and monitor water levels.
