Storm causes thousands to lose power in Flathead

Strong winds left some residents out in the cold in the Flathead, after a power outage hit the area.
At the peak of the weather system, about 3,500 households were without power.
Flathead Electric Co-op Community Relations Manager Stephanie Wallace tells us crews have been working around the clock to restore power in communities hit hard by the wind.
They believe things should be back to normal for most residents by this Monday evening or early Tuesday morning.
"The largest areas hit, we will prioritize that. Then, from a safety standpoint both for public safety and if we have any members who have notified us they need to be prioritized for health conditions, we try and get those first," said Wallace.
Wallace says that crews aren't worried about the impending snowstorm, as snow usually does not affect their service as much as high winds do.
