BOZEMAN, Mont. -

The MSU Bobcats are hoping they can get enough support to tie up the annual competition. This is the eighth year of the competition and so far the Griz have a 4-3 lead on the Cats.

We stopped by the competition Tuesday afternoon as students were lined up to donate. Organizers from the Red Cross told us they saw 70 people come in to donate, and that was with one hour left to go on Tuesday.

LeAnna Diacon with the Bozeman Red Cross said they hope at least 100 people come in on Wednesday to donate blood.

"One unit, so one donation, one person coming in and giving time out of their day can save up to three lives. It takes about 45 minutes depending on how many people are ahead of you, but it is a good thing to do," said Diacon.

Those looking to donate and support the Cats can do so on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Diacon said after the competition ends, it could be a few days before the final results are in. If you would like to make an appointment you can call 1-800-RED-CROSS.
