Third Bozeman girl enters plea in trailer fire
The third of three teenage girls charged in connection with a fire that destroyed an unoccupied trailer house in Bozeman last year has pleaded guilty to criminal mischief.
A 15-year-old Belgrade girl entered her plea on May 7 in District Court in Gallatin County.
One 14-year-old Bozeman girl pleaded guilty to the same misdemeanor while another entered a no contest plea.
All three were initially charged with felony arson for the fire last September. Investigators say about 50 candles were lighted on mattresses in the trailer home.
A plea agreement calls for the girls to be placed on one year of probation, perform 50 hours of community service, regularly attend school and maintain passing grades.
The girls are to be sentenced in June.
