MISSOULA, Mont. -

Montana Highway Patrol troopers reported two fatal car wrecks Friday in Western Montana.

The first fatal crash occurred in Butte at around 2:30 am. Dispatchers say a Chevy Blazer was traveling eastbound on Santa Clause Road, when it drifted off the side of the road and went over an embankment. Dispatchers say the deceased is a 24 year old man out of Butte. Investigators say alcohol was a factor in the crash but speed was not.

Dispatchers say the second crash occurred in Bozeman near mile marker 303 on I90 at around 9:00 pm. Troopers say a vehicle was traveling westbound, when the driver lost control and rolled. Troopers say speed was a factor but it is unknown if alcohol was a factor. The deceased was identified as a 31-year old man out of Tennessee.
