Both lanes of Highway 12 west of Lolo were closed Thursday evening as Highway Patrol troopers responded to an accident involving a semitruck at mile marker 19.
Our reporter at the scene told us the truck was carrying a load full of wood and tipped over on a tight curve, spilling the lumber across the highway.
The accident caused two other vehicles to swerve out of the way and crash.
The semitruck driver and another driver were taken to the hospital but were believed to be OK.
Scanner traffic indicates the highway will be reduced to one lane of travel through the night while crews work to clear the roadway.
