Victim in pedestrian death identified
Big Horn County officials have released the name of a 23-year-old woman who was struck by a vehicle and killed while walking along Highway 212 near Busby.
Deputy Coroner Rob Seykora says that Roberta Limberhand of Busby died some time Sunday evening. The collision was called in at 7:48 p.m., but Trooper Eric Winburn says it's not clear when the woman was hit.
Winburn says Limberhand and two men were intoxicated, wearing dark clothing and walking along the road when Limberhand was struck by what the men believe was a semitrailer. She was thrown about 30 feet.
The search for her body took several hours.
Winburn says it's possible the driver of the vehicle that clipped Limberhand was distracted or didn't realize the vehicle hit anyone.
