MISSOULA, Mont. -

USA Today is reporting that Montana Olympian Maggie Voisin has been injured during training, and will not be able to compete in the Olympic Games in Sochi.

The 15-year-old slopestyle skier from Whitefish is the youngest member of the U.S. Olympic team.

According to USA Today, Voisin injured her right ankle while training on the slopestyle course Friday. She will not be able to compete, and will not be replaced in the event.

"We're disappointed for her in being unable to start but have great respect for what she accomplished to get here," Luke Bodensteiner of the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association told USA Today.

NBC Montana is following up on this story, and we will bring you more details as soon as they are available.
