MISSOULA, Mont. -

Police in Missoula say a motorist ran a red light at an intersection causing a three-vehicle collision that injured a 39-year-old Wisconsin woman and her two children attempting to cross the street on foot.

Sgt. James Caton tells the Missoulian (http://bit.ly/117H9EA) that the woman, her 8-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries following the crash at about 7:45 p.m. Saturday.

Police say a 45-year-old man driving a 1952 Mercury Monterey failed to stop at a red light and struck a 2010 Subaru Impreza and a 1997 Chevrolet Lumina before spinning and hitting the pedestrians.

The driver of the Mercury was cited for reckless driving.
