KALISPELL, Mont. -

A Hungry Horse woman who pleaded guilty to taking her 1-year-old son from his legal guardians has been sentenced to 10 years on probation.

The Daily Inter Lake reports District Judge Ted Lympus sentenced 23-year-old Bryndi Gibson on Tuesday.

Gibson and the child's father, 28-year-old Beau Blasius, broke into his parents' house and took the boy on April 27. An Amber Alert was issued and the three were eventually located in Fife, Wash.

Blasius told investigators he and Gibson lost temporary custody of the child earlier in April due to a drug problem.

Gibson pleaded guilty in August to custodial interference and theft of a pickup truck they used to leave the state in exchange for the suspended sentence.

Blasius has pleaded guilty to custodial interference and burglary. Sentencing is set for Oct. 17.
