MISSOULA, Mont. -

A driver is in jail after crashing into an unmarked police car early Wednesday.

It happened in Missoula at the intersection of Broadway Street and Mullan Road.

Sergeant Klawitter says two police officers were in a car heading eastbound on Mullan Road through a green light.  A 36 year old Missoula woman was traveling west on Broadway street through a red light and crashed into the police car.  All three suffered minor injuries.

Highway Patrol investigated the incident because the Missoula Police Department was involved.  Highway Patrol arrested the woman and she is being held on charges of DUI and two counts of assaulting a peace officer.  The assaulting counts reportedly happened at the jail and did not have anything to do with crashing into the police vehicle.
