KALISPELL, Mont. -

A 54-year-old Columbia Falls woman shot twice by a Flathead County sheriff's deputy has pleaded not guilty to felony assault on a police officer.

The Daily Inter Lake reports (http://bit.ly/Jk98LH) that Michelle Gentry made the plea Thursday.

The Flathead County Attorney's Office also released a summary of the report from the Oct. 10 incident.

The report says Sheriff's Deputy Caleb Pleasants fired 15 rounds from an AR-15 at Gentry when she came out of a house with a revolver aimed at law enforcement officers shouting for them to, "Do it."

The report says Pleasant's first volley of rounds hit the county's armored vehicle. He fired again, hitting Gentry twice.

Pleasants in November was cleared to return to duty after an internal review found no violation of department policy.
