The Bravettes struggled in the Western Conference last season finishing ahead of only Hellgate in the league standings.

However Flathead was just several close games away from a winning record last year. Unfortunately the Bravettes lost five seniors from their previous roster as they enter this the new season.

The team says the biggest emphasis for them as they try to reach their goal of making a state tournament appearance is defensive intensity.  Early on in practices so far head coach Karly Tait feels her girls are stepping up to the challenge.

"It's been great so far," said Tait.  "They're excited to play that leadership role and we do have some big shoes to fill, we had five great seniors last year so, but I think they're up for the challenge."

"Well I think the seniors this year are doing a great job in motivating the others," added senior point guard Dani Davis.  "And it's branching well through others.  I think overall it's going to be a really good year."
