MSU Women's Basketball's collapse continues
BOZEMAN, Mont. -

This certainly wasn't the way the Montana State Women's Basketball team wanted to celebrate their Valentine's Day.  Idaho State, the team that started MSU's losing skid on January 26th, delivered not chocolates or love notes, but a 65-46 loss to the Lady Cats.

MSU's longest losing streak prior to this rough run?  Two games.

Now, the Lady Cats are fighting for the lives in the Big Sky, sitting in sixth at 8-7 in conference play.  In just three weeks time MSU has dropped from sole possession of first in the Big Sky to alone in sixth. They're now four games back from the Lady Griz with just five games left in the regular season.

The Cats' shooting woes continued Thursday night, they connected on just 25.5% of their shots and made just four total field goals in the second half.  Their last made field goal in the game came with 10:45 left on the game clock. Kalli Durham led MSU for the night with nine points while the Lady Bengals had four players hit double figures.

MSU also had trouble taking care of the ball, turning it over 19 times. Idaho State capitalized on the mishandling of the ball, they scored 22 points off turnovers. The Lady Cats finished with just four total assists on the night as well.

Montana State hopes to rebound on Saturday when they host Weber State at 2 p.m. at Shroyer Gym. Last time these two teams met up on January 24th the Lady Cats won big 67-37.
