MISSOULA, Mont. -

The Big Sky Eagles are working hard to get back to the state tournament after making it as the No. 4 seed out of the West last year. It wont be easy for the Eagles. Big Sky graduated seven seniors from last years team, including their all-state point guard Cole Baker.

Bryan Ferriter is entering his second season as the head coach for the Big Sky boys, he says this years team will have to work extra hard to replace the seniors the team lost.

"The kids stepping into the seniors spots this year, in some ways do have big shoes to fill," said head basketball coach Bryan Ferriter. "We lost seven seniors so I'm hoping guys can step in and take on those jobs."

The eagles say they're ready for the start of a new season and look forward to the challenge in front of them.

"I think coach Ferriter has done a great job of getting us ready, telling us it's our time now, we had a great group of seniors and now you guys have to step up and be as great as they were." said Eagles senior Brad Wakai.

"Each team has it's own identity," said Eagles senior Alex Mustard. "I think the biggest thing is we need to have a lot of team chemistry and we need to find out what our identity is.

The first test for Big Sky will be a road game at Billings West Friday, Dec. 13.
