Bobcats claw past Bengals to move to 4th in Big Sky

The Bobcats and Bengals headed into Thursday's match-up with identical 7-7 records. The Bobcats would end the night a game ahead of Idaho State in the standings, as they beat the Bengals 66-60.

Both teams traded buckets the entire first half, the largest lead being 6 points by the Bobcats midway through the half. The Bobcats led 29-28 in with 30 seconds to go before Andre Hatchett hit a jumper with 8 seconds left to send the Bengals into the locker room with a 30-28 lead.

Flavien Davis and Antonio Biglow, who were held scoreless in the 1st, paced the Bobcats in the second, putting in 23 of the Bobcats 37 points.

Terrell Brown, who went a perfect 3-3 from behind the arc, led all Bobcats with 13. Biglow and Marcus Colbert both added 12. Idaho's Jeffrey Solarin led all scorers with 20.

The Bengals would get a split Thursday as the Lady Bobcats fell in Idaho, 75-65. The Bobcats and Bengals would trade the lead all game, but the Bengals sealed their win on the free throw line late in the 2nd half.

Senior Kalli Durham led all Bobcats with 19 points. Idaho State's Lindsey Reed led all scorers with 34.

Both Bobcat teams will play Weber State this Saturday. The men will host the Wildcats at 7 and the ladies will play at 2 in Utah.
