Montana State had redemption on their minds as they hosted Cal State Northridge on Tuesday night.
Last week the Bobcats fell in a nail biter 74-73 after trailing the Matadors 70-58 late in the game. They would not let that happen again.
Montana State, led by their sophomore guard Marcus Colbert, came out firing on Tuesday. The Bobcats led 18-15 when Colbert subbed into the game. He immediately nailed a three and on the very next possession Colbert took it the length of the court for the finger tip roll in to give the Cats a 23-15 lead.
Colbert was lights out going 4 for 5 from behind the arc and lead all Bobcats with 17 points on the night. Freshman Stephan Holm followed Colbert with 12 points to give the Bobcat's their first home win of the season 77-62 over Northridge.
Matador guard Stephan Hicks led all scorers with 23 points. The Bobcats are now 2-4 on the year.
