Saturday afternoon the Montana State Bobcats opened up conference play on the road at North Dakota and MSU won easily 63-20.
Not only did the Bobcats get the win but they also got back their starting quarterback. DeNarius McGhee suited up for MSU and started under center just a few weeks after being sidelined because of a shoulder injury. Although McGhee didn't throw a touchdown pass he didn't miss a beat completing 13 of 18 passes for 194.
The reason McGhee didn't throw any touchdown passes was because he didn't need to. That's because MSU running back Cody Kirk was busy scoring touchdowns in the first half. Kirk had five rushing scores in the first half alone to go along with 104 yards on 12 carries. Montana State jumped out to a 42-7 lead heading into the half and they never looked back. MSU totaled almost 600 yards of total offense as they cruised past North Dakota 63-20. The Bobcats are now 3-2 on the year and are 1-0 in conference play.
Montana State will be back in action Saturday October 5th when the host Northern Arizona in Bozeman.
