It has been a record setting year for Montana State senior running back Cody Kirk.
Kirk first set the school rushing touchdown record in the first game of the season with his 31st rushing TD and he greatly added to that number Saturday in North Dakota.
Kirk scored five touchdowns in the first half of Saturday's game against North Dakota. Those five TD's gave Kirk a share of MSU's single game rushing record with Michael Jefferson (2006) and Don Hass (1966).
The performance did not go unnoticed as the Big Sky named Kirk the offensive player of the week Monday afternoon.
With the five scores this weekend, Kirk's rushing touchdown record now sits at 39.
Cody now ranks sixth in MSU history with a total of 2,678 rushing yards in his career after Saturday's game.
