MISSOULA, Mont. -

Falcons senior Hayley Cole led the way with two hits and three RBI's as Florence defended their Class 'B-C' softball crown with a 6-2 win over Ronan in the championship game Saturday in Great falls.

Ronan took advantage of multiple Falcon fielding errors to grab a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning.  But Florence answered right back with two runs of their own to tie the game at 2-2 after one inning.

The Falcons outscored the Maidens 4-0 over the next six frames to cruise to another state title.

Florence returned every member of last year's state title squad; But this weekend of softball was the final hurrah for four Falcon seniors.

"I didn't have any seniors last year," said head coach Joe McKay.  "I have four seniors on this team so it's extremely special for them."

"We're excited and so thrilled that this is the way we end our senior year," said Florence senior Hayley Cole.  "It's a great way to go out with a bang."
