Griz get much needed conference win
The Montana Grizzly basketball team picked up its first conference win of the season by beating Sacramento State 82-70 Saturday night.
Montana went into the half with a 10 point lead and the Griz never looked back. UM had four players score in double figures in the contest, leading the way was guard Jordan Gregory with 20 points.
In the first half the Griz shot over 50 percent from the floor and 77 percent at the line. the Grizzlies number went up in the second half as they shot 65 percent from the field and 82 percent from the free throw line.
The victory over Sacramento State is Montana's first conference win of the season improving the Griz to 1-1 in league play. The next test for Montana will be on the road at Eastern Washington Thursday, Jan. 9.
