Montana couldn’t miss a shot from beyond the arc early on in their contest against Lewis-Clark State as the Grizzlies took down the Warriors 78-67 Wednesday night in an exhibition matchup in UM’s Dahlberg Arena.
The Griz ran out to a 52-32 lead at halftime after nailing 11-of-14 three pointers. Jordan Gregory struck first in the game with a triple that made it a 3-0 game, and that opened the floodgates of Montana buckets from downtown. Gregory ended up making 4-of-5 treys in the first half. Senior Kareem Jamar made all three of his first half attempts from beyond the arc. Jamar ended with 19 points in just 23 minutes of play. Gregory led the team in points (20) and rebounds (7) on the night.
The Grizzlies cooled down in the second half, making just 1-of-6 treys after the intermission. The Warriors did cut into UM’s lead, but they could never get it down to single digits.
This was Montana’s final exhibition game; the Grizzlies open up their season on the road next Tuesday, Nov.12, at Minnesota.
