Kareem Jamar's performance against Idaho on Saturday earned him honors of being named the Big Sky Conference co-Player of the Week. Jamar shared the award with Northern Colorado's Derrick Barden.

The senior out of Venice, California registered 26 points and 8 rebounds against the Vandals. He also added a block and three assists.

Jamar made 11 of 12 free throws in the game including his final two game tying and game winning attempts (with just four seconds on the clock) to put Montana on top by a final of 72-71.

The reigning Big Sky MVP made 7-0f-10 shots from the floor. This is the second time this season, and sixth time in his career that Jamar has earned Player of the Week honors in the Big Sky.

Jamar is off to a good start in his senior year. So far this season in nine games played Jamar is shooting just over 50 percent from the field and just under 40 percent from beyond the arc while averaging a team-best 19.7 points per game. Jamar also leads the team in rebounding and assists.

The Grizzlies open up conference play against Northern Arizona, Thursday, Jan. 2 inside Dahlberg Arena.
