MISSOULA, Mont. -

Montana's Kareem Jamar scored a game high 25 points as the Grizzlies defeated Southern Utah 82-54 Saturday inside Dahlberg Arena.

The Griz had the hot hand early in the first half and they never slowed down. Jamar got off to a quick start and put on a show for Griz fans on "Senior Night." Jamar scored 25 points on 10-of-14 shooting, including 3-of-5 from three-point range.

Jamar now has 1,620 career points, which moves him up to fifth in school history, as he passes former forward Andrew Strait. Jamar also moved up to 17th in Big Sky history in total points.

As a team Montana was too much for Southern Utah to contain. The Grizzlies went to the half with a comfortable 44-21 lead. UM shot very well, going 16-of-27 from the floor, including 6-of-11 from downtown.

In the second half the Griz posted similar numbers making 14-of-27 shot from the field, including 5-of12 from beyond the arc. Montana outscored Southern Utah 39-33 in the second half to get the 83-54 victory.

Saturday's win was the third game in a row the Grizzlies have beat a conference opponent. Montana is now 10-7 in the Big Sky and 15-11 overall.

The Grizzlies play their final home game of the season Monday, March 3, hosting the Montana State Bobcats.
