Lady Griz carry momentum into conference tournament

The Lady Griz will enter the Big Sky Conference Tournament as the #3 seed after concluding their regular season schedule Saturday afternoon with a 83-66 win over Northern Arizona at home in Dahlberg Arena.
Montana had a strong showing in the first half of the contest; UM made the first field goal of the game and never trailed the entire game. The Lady Griz made 16-of-28 shots from the field in the first half, including a 6-of-10 effort from beyond the arc, to take a 43-37 lead into the break.
The Lady Griz cooled down in the second half but Montana was still able to outscore the Lumberjacks 40-29 and record the 83-66 victory.
It was a special night before the game even tipped off as seniors Jordan Sullivan and Torry Hill were recognized in the final home game of their brilliant careers at Montana.
Sullivan put the Lady Griz on the board first after making the first shot of the game. The senior forward went 7-of-11 from the floor and scored a team high 22 points. Sullivan also grabbed 11 rebounds to record a double-double.
Hill also reached double figures in points with 17, giving her exactly 1000 career points at UM. The senior point guard also dished out five assists and recorded four steals.
Montana finished the regular season at 20-9 overall, and 14-6 in league play. The Lady Griz will now take their three game winning streak into the Big Sky Conference Tournament which begins play Thursday, Mar. 13. in Grand Forks, N.D.
