The Montana State Men's and Women's basketball teams opened Big Sky Conference play Thursday night, but with very opposite starts.

The MSU men hosted Sac State and extended their home win streak to four straight games, picking up the 70-55 win.

The Bobcats hit 13 three pointers in the game, 7 in the first half. Marcus Colbert hit three 3's in the first half while freshman Stephan Holm went two for two behind the arc in the first half to send the Bobcats into the locker-room with a 35-25 lead.

Calen Coleman led all Bobcats with 13 points off the bench. Sac State's Zach Mills led all scorers with 19.

The MSU women were 1-4 on the road entering Thursday night's match-up and it didn't get any easier for them facing an 8-1 Hornet's squad as they fell 107-95.

The Bobcats went 21-39 in the first half and ended the half with a 51-50 lead, but the wheels came off in the second half.

Despite a horrific shooting night for Sac State, who went 14-41 from three point range, the Hornets were able to force 16 turnovers which sealed the Bobcats fate.

Jackie Elliot led all Bobcat's with a career high 25 points. Sac State's Fantasia Hilliard led all scorers with 26.
